File Encryption
iTekLogic ensures the security of your data by encrypting each backup file, even before it is transmitted.  Our software uses 256-bit AES encryption, a technology so powerful that the United States National Security Agency (NSA) has approved it for encrypting “TOP SECRET” documents.

Your unique encryption key is created from a 48-character string that you choose when you install the iTekLogic software.  You are the only one who will have access to this encryption key, as it will never be stored on our servers.  Whenever you restore backups to your computer, the software will automatically decipher the files using your encryption key.

Safe Transmission
As an added precaution, your encrypted backup files are only transmitted via Secure Socket Layers (SSL) technology.  You may already be familiar with SSL as the method used to protect you when banking online.  By encrypting your data files and transmitting them via secure channels, iTekLogic doubly guarantees the security of your sensitive information.

Secure Storage
Your encrypted data files are stored in not just one, but two data storage centers, located hundreds of miles apart to further protect your backups.  Each data center is monitored around the clock, in addition to being protected by state-of-the-art security systems, such as biometric controlled access.  To ensure that you will be able to access your backup files at any time, each data center also features backup generators and redundant Internet connections.
